Doing Better Together
This is a group specifically for spouses, adult children, parents, friends and siblings of those with chronic and debilitating illnesses. Together, in a supportive environment with others experiencing similar difficulties participants can ask questions, problem solve, share experiences and increase skills to better handle the stress of daily living for both themselves and their loved ones
Research has shown that recovery from all physical and mental illness occurs most effectively when an individual’s entire treatment team works as a whole (therapists, doctors, and loved ones.) At times, this responsibility can be overwhelming to the loved ones of a person suffering from these illnesses. At Healing Connections we understand the strain and enormous effort it sometimes takes to get through a day—whether you yourself are experiencing mental health concerns, or you are a loved one concerned about another’s mental health. Doing Better Together will help to address this effort.
